(Jan. 9, 2007) – The Broad Run girls are the only remaining AA Dulles District boys or girls basketball team undefeated in league play after a convincing 58-45 victory over Park View Monday night in a first-place showdown in Ashburn. The Spartans will make the turn towards the second half of district play in first along with the Heritage boys, an 80-73 winner over Loudoun County Monday. A week ago the Pride were in danger of falling two full games behind then district undefeated Park View but the Patriots loss at Potomac Falls Friday and Monday’s overtime loss to Broad Run leaves Heritage along in first. Potomac Falls, Broad Run and Park View are all one game behind the Pride in what promises to be an eventful scramble towards the regular-season finish line and the post-season tournament.
