Leesburg (Mar. 22, 2007) – If opening the season wtih a win over AAA state finalist Stone Bridge was enough for the Loudoun Valley softball team, the Vikes have out-scored their two Leesburg opponents this week, Loudoun County and Heritage, by a combined score 0f 37-0.
Sam Wassmann and tiffany Beach led the hit parade in Wednesday’s 21-0 win over Heritage as the two combined for 7-for-10 day with seven runs scored and eigth RBIs.
Haley Grabner also had three hits for Valley and Courtney Aubel had two hits and two RBI’s.
Caroline Williams was the winning pitcher for Valley, yielding no hits in three innings of work Haley Athey picked up the save finishing the final 4 innings.
Heritage had one hit. Valley started slowly but scored 8 in the second and then another 8 in the 7th to finish the game.
