Leesburg (Mar. 22, 2007) – The Heritage High School boys soccer team handed Loudoun Valley its first defeat of the season with a 1-0 win Wedesday off the strength of Oscar Valenzueal’s header in the 13th minute.
Valenzuela scored off a throw-in from Micah Miller.
The rest of the the chilly evening belonged to the keepers as Valley keeper Justin Thomas registered six saves and Heritage’s Lucas Dauberman tabbed four.
The Pride defense held the Vikings to just six shots all evening.
Heritage is now 2-0-0 while Loudoun Valley falls to 2-1-0.
