Heritage Grad Petrella Ties Mary Washington Single-Season Home Run Record

Fredericksburg (Apr. 19, 2007) – Heritage High School grad Kaitlin Petrella has tied the Mary Washington single-season record for home runs with five and she helped the team advance Wednesday in the first round of the Capital Athletic Conference tournament. The freshman led the team in the regular season with a .552 slugging percentage and she went 1-for-2 with a run scored and an RBI in Wednesday’s 15-0 win over Gaullaudet. Mary Washington (24-17 overall) plays Salisbury Saturday.
