Leesburg (May 23, 2007) – The Heritage High School girls tennis team defeated Wayneboro 6-3 Tuesday in a AA Region II quarterfinal match.
The Dulles District champion Pride improved to 16-3 on the season. The Pride travel to undefeated Handley (19-0) Thursday for a semifinal. In Tuesday’s match, the Pride got singles victories from senior Bini Kronenberg, junior Meleah Nassar, senior Lauren Bulka, junior Marina Barraj and junior Beth Gurney. Kronenberg and Nassar also teamed for a doubles win.
