Leesburg (Aug. 25, 2007) – The Heritage High School golf team may have struggled a bit to start the season but the Pride is rolling now with Christian Darden winning Monday’s Cheers Invitational and the team followed up with a stunner on Friday, edging Potomac Falls by a stroke, 162-163, in a AA Dulles District dual match at River Creek.
The loss basically ended an PF hope for catching Briar Woods for the regular-season district title.
Darden led the way for Heritage with a 37, followed by Tiereny Stanghor at 40 and Chris Cowne at 41. Wyatt Endres and Brett Johnson both shot 39 for PF.
