(Nov 12, 2007) – The Heritage Volleyball program teamed up with three local businesses in a fundraising opportunity to support ****** cancer research during ****** Cancer Awareness Month.
Each sponsoring business donated one dollar per **** earned by the varsity team for the entire month of October. Large K’s printed on pink paper were displayed in the main gym of Heritage High School to represent the number of kills earned by the team and the number of dollars that would be donated. The pink K’s allowed students and community members to follow along in the success of the fundraiser as they were displayed all month long. The fundraiser proved a success and the team donated $858 dollars to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
