(Jan. 5, 2008) – The new year got going Friday night with both of the AA Dulles District boys basketball leaders, Broad Run and Park View, falling on the road to create a 5-way tie at the top of the standings.
Broad Run, Freedom, Heritage, Loudoun County and Park View are all 2-1 in district with Dominion and Potomac Falls just a game behind.
Heritage 68, Broad Run 66: Chris Broderick scored 22 points and dished out six assists as the Pride knocked off the Spartans. Martin Thomas scored a season-high 25 points for BR.
Broad Run 43, Heritage 35: With Alex Campbell in foul trouble, Chelsea Gantt led BR with 10 points, including 6 of 6 from the foul line. Pride didn’t get any field goals in final period.
