Orange (Jan. 27, 2008) – A trio of Loudoun County gymnastic teams competed at Saturday’s Orange County meet with Heritage finishing second and Loudoun County third.
Host Orange County won with 129.775 followed by Heritage (117.075), Loudoun County (92.475), Dominion (91.975) and Goochland (16.950). The Raiders were competing without Katy Bauer and Jessie Sheehan.
Pride Notes:
Senior Brittany Moyer (6th on Floor 8.15; 6th on beam 7.85; 7th on vault 8.5) and sophomore Bria Nunley (3rd on vault 8.7; 3rd on beam 8.250; 2nd on floor 9.1; 5th All Around 32.4) led Heritage. Sophomore Cora Dodson finished 6th on bars with a 7.1, only competing in two events due to missing most of the week due to illness.

The team was lead by Senior Libby Messina who finished 2nd All Around 34.450 – Season high 4th on Floor 8.8 – season high 1st on Beam 9.15 season high 6th on Vault 8.550 2nd on Bars 7.95

Freshman Caroline Joseph continues to improve her scores. She competed in the all around for the first time this season. Congratulations to Caroline who met the qualifying standard for regionals on vault with an 8.4. She also had season high’s on vault and floor.
The Loudoun teams will next compete for the Dulles District Championships on Saturday, Feb. 2nd at 10 AM at Heritage H.S.
