Leesburg (Feb. 16, 2008) – Loudoun County athletic director Ken Wright called Friday’s crowd the largest he had ever seen and they were treated to a rather large Raider comeback as LC erased a 19-point half time deficit to defeat AA Dulles District regular-season champion Heritage, 65-59.

Joe Bushrod had all 18 of his points in the second half to give the Raiders a season sweep over the Pride. Rick Cottom had a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds

The two teams could meet again next week in the district tournament semifinals but first the Raides will face a hot Dominion team in the quarterfinals.

Dominion defeated a slumping Broad Run team Friday, 74-70, with junior Deandre Albritton scoring 32 points to break the career 1,000-point mark. Didier Saidi led BR with 24 points and Rick Jasper scored 15.

Also Friday, Park View defeated Freedom, 80-66, with Marcus Freeman and Thomas Mulabah each scoring 17. In all, PV had five in double figures with Danny Foley (14) Brett Dufford (12) and C.J. Leizear (10). The Eagles were led by Henry Brisibe’s 26 and Troy Dockett scored 15.

Potomac Falls wrapped up the No. 2 seed for the tournament with a 70-43 win over Briar Woods. Alex Kott scored a game-high 22 and Willie Mears added 12.
