Leesburg (Feb. 16, 2008) – Loudoun County athletic director Ken Wright called Friday’s crowd the largest he had ever seen and they were treated to a rather large Raider comeback as LC erased a 19-point half time deficit to defeat AA Dulles District regular-season champion Heritage, 65-59.
Joe Bushrod had all 18 of his points in the second half to give the Raiders a season sweep over the Pride. Rick Cottom had a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds
The two teams could meet again next week in the district tournament semifinals but first the Raides will face a hot Dominion team in the quarterfinals.
