(Mar. 22, 2008) – Three Loudoun Schools — Heritage, Loudoun Valley and Stone Bridge — will make one final bid to prevent their move into the Northwest Region’s Cedar Run District starting in 2009-10.
The VHSL Redistricting and Reclassification Committee will hear appeals on April 14 and all three schools will present their case with Stone Bridge, currently in the Northern Region Liberty District, and Heritage, currently in the AA Region II Dulles District, asking to be put in the Liberty District.
Loudoun Valley, recently moved into the Cedar Run District in the Northwest Region, is asking to be put in the Northern Region’s Concorde District. All three schools are slated to be in the Northwest Region Cedar Run under the proposed plan.
Other appeals that affect local schools include the Region II Northwest District proposal to split into two 5-team districts. Click the headline to see all the appeals.
