Fredericksburg (Apr. 24, 2008) – Former Heritage High School softball standout Kaitlin Petrella has been named first team All-Capital Athletic Conference. Petrella had a record-breaking season at Mary Washington with single season records for home runs (8), RBIs (31) and slugging percentage (.745). The sophomore is Mary Washington’s all-time home run leader with 14 in her short career.
Petrella’s former team, Heritage, defeated Potomac Falls, 13-1, Wednesday in AA Dulles District action.
Also, Dominion defeated Freedom by the same score.
