Special report on Dominion:

Dominion

ever AA Dulles District baseball tournament win Saturday, defeating
Heritage 7-2 in quarterfinal action.

Chris

seventh inning.

Taylor’s first home run cleared the new safety fence in left center and was estimated at more than 400 feet.

Geoff
McCowat went six innings, giving up three hits, two runs, and striking
out nine. McCowat now has a Titan single season record of 67
strikeouts in 40.1 innings. 20 of those strikeouts came in a
record-setting performance against Gar-Field.

McCowat
had a no hitter for 3.1 and a shutout in to the 6th inning before
yielding two runs, one scoring due to a routine fly ball being lost in
the sun. Gerald Harvey had the only Pride RBI with a triple to center
field. The other Pride run scored on a wild pitch.

The
Titans had 12 hits. In addition to Taylor going 3-for-3 with a walk,
Matt Sherrill, Bubba Noro, and Greg Smucker each had two hits. McCowat,
Sherrill, and Ryan Doyle drove in the other Titan runs.

The Titans take on regular season champs, Broad Run, in Ashburn on Tuesday night. Game time is 7 pm.
