(Nov. 10, 2008) – Heritage High School coach Carmel Keilty, whose Pride team stopped Loudoun County’s 47-match winning streak and earned the AA Dulles District co-title this season, has been named the Region II Coach of the Year. Also making the first team were Potomac Falls sophomore Tori Janowki, Loudoun County senior Shaylin O’Connell and Heritage senior Ashley Scott.
Second team selections from Loudoun included Loudoun County junior Juliane Hanna and Heritage freshman setter Stephanie Yokoyama.
Western Albemarle’s Sarah Harper was named the Player of the Year.
