Leesburg (Nov. 14, 2008) – Heritage High School will tip off its 2008-08 boys and girls basketball season with a little “Madness” tonight as the Pride hosts a 7:30 p.m. event to introduce both its teams.
All winter sports across the county held tryouts this week with the season starting in less than a month.
The event at Heritage tonight is just $1.
Tonight’s “Midnight Madness”-style event introduces new Pride boys coach Greg Grimes, who takes over for the departed Mark Mallisham. Heritage, with Grimes on the bench as an assistant under Mallisham, has won three consecutive AA Dulles District titles.
On the girls side, Anthony Long returns for his second season in charge of the program.
