Leesburg (Feb. 15, 2008) – Technically the Heritage High School boys basketball team had wrapped up a Region II bid coming into Thursday’s game with Dominion but the Pride wanted the AA Dulles District title all too themselves and that is what they got with a 68-57 win over the Titans.
Heritage (11-2, 13-7) has now won three consecutive district titles, going a perfect 14-0 in 2005-06 and sharing the crown with Potomac Falls last season. Dominion falls to 6-7, 10-10.
In Girls Dulles District action, Dominion defeated Heritage in overtime, 55-51, to end a six-game slide. The Titans last win was also over the Pride, 37-36 on Jan. 14.
