Leesburg (Apr. 15, 2008) – Heritage High School boys basketball coach Mark Mallisham confirmed Tuesday that he has accpeted the head position at Forest Park in Prince William County.
Mallisham, who lives outside of Manassas, has been making an 80-minute commute since starting the Heritage program six seasons ago. The Pride captured their third straight AA Dulles District title under Mallisham this season.
“It’s always hard to walk away from something you put your heart and soul into,” said Mallisham. “I’m going to miss the community, miss the students … but I’ve got three kids and now I can be closer to them.”
